Sunshine Valley Farms

Location: Creston, B.C.

As 3rd Generation Farmers, we were both raised on poultry and grain farms in southeastern Manitoba. We have many memories of playing with the day-old chicks, spreading straw, and helping with the harvests. Our days now start with a walkthrough of the barn in the morning to wake the ladies up. We water, feed and check air quality,  to ensure its optimal for the day.

Most of the eggs are laid by noon and by later on in the afternoon the family heads out to the barn to gather the eggs. Often there are 3 kids and one of us gathering eggs and chatting about the day or singing… We love raising our family and our hens in the Kootenays.
