Harvest Local Trees

Gather, on your own schedule

There are many excellent fruit trees that are underused in our community; there are plenty of apple trees but also plums, crab apples, cherries, and apricots. There are people in our community that are unable to harvest the fruit or use it all themselves. Fruit that falls to the ground and rots is a wildlife attractant; wildlife attractants increase the chance of negative human-wildlife interactions.

Harvest fruit for yourself, help elderly or absent tree owners, and reduce wildlife attractants!

If you would like to register with us to harvest local fruit trees, please read our harvest & access document before registering.

If you would like to donate some of your harvest to local organizations, please contact our Food Program Coordinator Ashley Lortscher at kimcranapples@wildsight.ca.
