Sparta loves to create good times for the community and talk about all the things, come say hi during the market! Otherwise, you’ll find Sparta struggling up hills on her mountain bike, kicking up dust on Luna, her beloved dual-sport motorcycle, or singing an ode to powder days as she carves the slopes.

Patty is in her element when teaching outdoor education and enjoys helping young people find meaningful connections to their natural environment. She enjoys spending time with her family hiking, skiing, canoeing and exploring many of the wild places in BC and beyond.
Ashley Lortscher
Food Program Coordinator

Ashley grew up in Fernie surrounded by the natural wonder of the Elk Valley. She now pursues her passion for environmental sustainability through local food production. She considered herself a life-long student of permaculture and has a background in agricultural research, community composting, organic gardening, and micro-scale poultry production. kimcrangarden@wildsight.ca

Kim brings plenty of enthusiasm and passion for outdoor activities and connecting people with the natural world. With a background in Environmental Education and Communications, she brings a varied skillset of community engagement, program development, and volunteer management.

Rachel is pursuing a degree in ecology and loves being outside and all things ocean-related. She has lived in the Kimberley-Cranbrook area for most of her life, and is super excited to work with Wildsight this summer!

Want to protect wildlife, clean water and wild spaces? Volunteer with us! Wildsight volunteers are a very special group of people who give generously of their time to stuff envelopes, attend rallies, help run events, put up posters, keep tabs on forestry practices in their communities and participate in citizen science initiatives.

Daniel grew up in Cranbrook skiing, backpacking, climbing, and enjoying the outdoors every opportunity he could get. After graduating from Royal Roads University, he returned to the Kootenays eventually moving back to his home mountain of Kimberley.

Alexis Campbell
Branch Board Director

Alexis grew up in northern Manitoba alongside the polar bears, beluga whales, and northern lights. Naturally, this inspired a love for adventure and a passion for protecting wild spaces.

Sharon Cross
Branch Board Director

Being on the Wildsight Kimberley Cranbrook board helps Sharon fulfill both her environmental and social passions, each of which affects our economy. Everything is connected. It’s a privilege to serve.

Normandy is a former community advocate, environmental policy nerd, and wilderness educator who loves that Wildsight Kimberley Cranbrook works at a grassroots community level to foster healthier connections with our local environment.
