Amidst growing impacts of climate change and increased recreational use of grasslands, wetlands, forests, and waterways, safeguarding a healthy ecosystem is of significant importance; education and a change of human behaviour are paramount. Wild Connections addresses these challenges from the ground up by offering hands-on events, experiences, and workshop opportunities that increase participants’ understanding of environmental issues and empowers them to take action in their own lives. Our activities provide a direct opportunity for attendees to act on improving our environment and reduce carbon emission. In doing so, Wildsight Invermere offers a community service not addressed by any other local NGO. We foster a culture of environmental stewardship, where we work together with nature.
