Welcome to the Kimberley Community Garden!
Garden Overview
The Kimberley Community Garden is a demonstration garden designed to share the knowledge and skills needed to empower you to grow food in your own backyard.
The garden, which is located at 915 Rotary Drive just south of the Aquatic Centre, was developed in 2014 when the ground was broken and fencing was installed. You will find all the necessary tools in the open shed, along with a gazebo, composting units, and our famous re-purposed freezer beds.
Garden Opportunities
Volunteering
There are no allotted plots, but anyone is free to use the space – and certainly encouraged to! Please come by any time during the growing season, and remember to sign the logbook in the shed as this helps us in our efforts to secure ongoing funding.
For specific dates and times our team will be in the garden, check out this schedule. You’re welcome to volunteer in the garden without our team, however, we recommend you contact Chad Kile first to learn more about the garden and equipment. Chad can be reached at chad@wildsight.ca or 250-432-5954.
