Camp Information

At Camp Odyssey, we believe in nurturing connections with nature at an early age! Camp Odyssey offers week-long and single-day camps during the spring and summer months as well as Spirit Rock Climbing Center Pro-D day camps throughout the SD6 school year. The program offers a safe, structured, and fun outdoor environment for children of various ages.

Pro-D Day Camps (SD6 Calendar)

Partnering with Spirit Rock Climbing Center for joint Pro-D Day camps, we’ll spend the morning inside rock climbing, then head outside for an afternoon of forest fun in Lois Creek. Together, Spirit Rock and Wildsight staff will lead the group through practical skills, group games, and free play.

Age: 5 – 11 years old
Cost: $70 (full day only)
Time: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm

Pick up and drop off at Spirit Rock Climbing Center
(110 Deer Park Ave in the Platzl)
Waiver forms for both organizations must be completed.
The Wildsight waiver is included in your registration.
If your child doesn’t already have one on file, the Spirit Rock waiver must be completed ahead of time or at drop off.

Spring Break Camp

Spring break camp is specifically for ‘Nearby Naturalists’ ages 5-8 years old. This group will stay closer to the home base, spending less time walking and more time exploring and getting crafty. Nearby Naturalists are based out of the Kimberley Independent School (KIS).

Summer Camps

At Summer Camp, kids spend their days hiking, exploring, learning, and playing outdoors. We offer the program to three age groups: Nearby Naturalists (ages 5-8), Happy Hikers (ages 8-11), and Avid Adventurers (ages 10-13).

The Avid Adventurers program is designed for responsible and keen pre-teens interested in
day hikes and bushcraft. Please contact kim@wildsight.ca to discuss suitability.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Friendly reminder that Wildsight Kimberley Cranbrook is a non-profit organization and Camp Odyssey operates on a minimal budget as a service for the community.

  • A $15 fee will be deducted from all refund requests.
  • In the event that a camp is canceled due to insufficient registrations, a full refund will be given.
  • No refund requests will be granted after the Monday one week before the camp week.
  • Refunds are processed on a monthly basis.

Wildsight volunteers are a very special group of people who give generously of their time to stuff envelopes, attend rallies, help run events, put up posters, keep tabs on forestry practices in their communities and participate in citizen science initiatives.
