The Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival is one of the largest and most prestigious mountain festivals in the world. From the over 400 entries submitted into the Festival each year, award-winning films and audience favourites are carefully selected to travel the globe. This year’s World Tour will feature a collection of the most inspiring action, environmental, and adventure films.

After the 2020 festival went virtual for the first time in its 45-year history, the 2021 festival ran as a hybrid of in-person and online screenings. Following in their footsteps, the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour is coming to Kimberley/Cranbrook with two ways to tune in: ONLINE (now until January 31, 2022) and LIVE at Key City Theatre on January 7 & 8!

Watch films, give back.

Hosting the World Tour is not only the first fundraiser of the year but also our biggest. When you buy a ticket for any screening (online or in-person), the proceeds help us to run Wildsight Kimberley Cranbrook‘s education, conservation, and regeneration initiatives throughout the year.

Watch Live

There will be two live screenings at Cranbrook’s Key City Theatre at 7:00 pm on January 7 & 8, 2022 – each night boasting a unique film lineup. As usual, there will be an intermission and a prize giveaway. Please note that the theatre is currently at half capacity (300 people) and everyone attending the live screening will be required to show full proof of vaccination and one piece of government ID.

The 2021-22 World Tour features an exhilarating and provocative collection of films that explore the mountain world, highlighting new landscapes and remote cultures, and exposes audiences to exciting adventures and adrenaline-packed sports. Film advisory: all films are appropriate for a General Audience.

Tickets will be priced as follows:
$30 for 1 night
$50 for 2 nights
