KNOW YOUR NEIGHBOUR: Cheryl Goodwin
“And the Mountains shall bring peace to the People.”
As a former full-time Valley resident, Cheryl feels blessed to spend most of her free time at her cabin located close to the Columbia River headwaters. Working in the IT sector in Calgary has turned this past ACC hut custodian into the ultimate weekend warrior. However, an appreciation for her surroundings is augmented with each moment spent exploring her backyard, camera close at hand.
Appreciating the fine balance between making a living and recreating, Cheryl believes that organizations like Wildsight are essential to educating the masses around nature’s diverse and fragile harmony. “Out of sight is out of mind for many people. I believe it is imperative for people of all ages and backgrounds to cultivate a relationship with nature that will lead to understanding why we must protect it.”
