PhD candidate Gemma Cobb (Griffith University, Australia) is seeking participants for a survey to delve into your perspectives on environmental challenges and how we engage with the landscape surrounding the area known as Golden. This research aims to build a better understanding of how local overlapping land use decisions may influence the maintenance of a healthy environment for humans, ecosystems, and wildlife.
Why Participate? Your valuable input will contribute to a doctoral research project that can support a more holistic understanding of landscape-society dynamics to facilitate well-informed decision making and more sustainable outcomes for the community and surrounding ecosystems. The first 100 participants will receive a $20 gift certificate from local businesses: Wandering Fern Cafe, Reposados Tacos, Dirtbag Climbing Corp, Kicking Horse Movies, and Bacchus (thanks to their generous collaboration!). Even if you’re not among the first 100, every participant will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win 1 of 3 $50 gift certificates of their choice. The survey is anonymous and will only take approximately 20 minutes of your time. The survey will close on March 8th, so be sure to share your thoughts before then.
How to participate? The survey can be accessed online via the Wildsight Golden website on the West Bench Recreation Ecology Study page or by emailing Gemma directly for a link (gemma.cobb@griffithuni.edu.au). Alternatively, if you would like a paper survey to fill out, please contact Wildsight Golden (golden@wildsight.ca) to arrange pick up in person from the office. Feel free to share this email with friends, family, and neighbours who might be interested participating.
Should you have any questions or require further information, don’t hesitate to reach out to via email to gemma.cobb@griffithuni.edu.au. Thank you for contributing to our community research!
