Tim Chapman

Tim oversees the East Kootenay Youth Climate Corps team, and works on forestry issues across the region. His passion lies in working to improve forestry practices and building field skills in young professionals. Tim is a Registered Professional Forester. Get him started on trees, and you’ll be in for a lecture. Working for industry prior to coming to Wildsight provided invaluable on-the-ground experience, insights, and connections that continue to inform his work.

In his spare time, Tim enjoys plotting adventures on Google Earth and proving them out on the ground — or ending up crawling through blowdown up to his eyeballs. This draws him into some wild places off the beaten path and has facilitated an intimate understanding and deep connection with the mountains of the East Kootenay region.
