Join us to pick apples and press juice!
In 2023, 380 volunteers of the Apple Capture program picked 2,695 lbs of fruit from community yards and pressed it into fresh juice! Some of this juice went home with volunteers while some was donated to our local Food Recovery programs in each community.
Cranbrook and Kimberley are home to many fruit trees and the harvest season is around the corner. Help us ensure that local fruit is diverted from going to the landfill or becoming wildlife attractants by volunteering at one of our Pick and Press events!

What to bring
Picking events
- Come dressed for the weather and the outdoors
- Bring gloves, hats, snacks, and a water bottle
- Bring a reusable bag to take home some apples
- Please bring a truck and/or ladder along if you can
- Carpooling is encouraged
Pressing events

- Bring a container to take home some apple juice
- If you know someone with livestock, consider asking if they would like some apple mash for feed
