Wildsight Invermere’s online auction is now LIVE!

Bidding ends at 8:15pm on November 19th, the night of the Wild & Scenic Film Festival.

Much effort went into putting together this unique online auction that reflects the Columbia Valley’s wellness, artistic and outdoor community — from a specially designed pair of backcountry skis for all you eager powder hounds to body treatment sessions and unique overnight accommodation in the Purcell and Rocky Mountains. A special item came from long-time Wildsight member Norm Funnell from Edgewater. He hand crafted a hall table from repurposed wood from the Edgewater flume.

Another fabulous contribution comes from Chris Fels, co-owner of FELS skis. Wild is the newest ski from his boutique ski company based in Invermere. The ski is still in the design stages, but Chris is giving Wildsight Invermere a special opportunity to offer it as part of this fund raiser. To make sure this unique ski is maximized to handle the range of snow conditions here in our mountains, Chris is working with local ski coach and backcountry enthusiast (and also longtime Wildsight member!), Helmut Spiegl, to fine tune its superior handling in the field.  Wait! There are more local connections: local ski engineer Dave Horsfield from Windermere is manufacturing the ski.  THANK YOU CHRIS! Thank you everyone!

Help us reach our Auction goal of $5,000. Hope to see you on November 19th at the Wild & Scenic Film Festival.
