33 awesome auction items, reflecting the Columbia Valley’s wellness, artistic and outdoor community —from a beautiful handcrafted hall table from Norm Funnell made with recycled wood from the Edgewater Flume to body treatment sessions and unique overnight accommodations in the Purcell and Rocky Mountains. Another fabulous contribution comes from Chris Fels, co-owner of FELS skis. Wild is the newest ski from his boutique ski company based in Invermere. Chris is giving Wildsight Invermere a special opportunity to offer it as part of this fund raiser. Its light-weight composite will will make it a breeze for backcountry touring.
Thank you, thank you, thank you everybody for helping to make our annual fundraiser successful!
When combined together, our small actions create a big impact. The Wild and Scenic Film Fest sits apart from hundreds of other festivals by leaving you feeling motivated to make a difference in your community. It puts our local work into the broader environmental and social context and serves to remind us that we’re participants in a global movement….
Cam Gillies, Emcee and Wildsight Director
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is Wildsight Invermere’s annual fund raiser and a much-anticipated Columbia Valley event. We first organized the festival in 2014 as a way to bring everyone together to celebrate environmental stewardship and our connection to nature. Nine years later, we’re still bringing world-class films and a venue for conversation, camaraderie and inspiration to our mountain community. Big thanks for the ongoing support by the folks at the flagship Wild & Scenic Film Festival in California.
