It is hard to believe it is that time of year already that people are getting ready for cooler temperatures, back to school, and it is the end of what was a really fun and exciting summer for Wildsight Golden’s Get Wild summer day camp! The kids all braced the heat, the smoke, and the bugs to make the most of this summer!
They had an abundant of activities take place this summer but some of the children’s highlights included: white-water rafting on the upper Kicking Horse, climbing at Dogtooth Gym, gardening at the Food Bank, swimming at the outdoor pool, birding at Reflection Lake, pond dipping at Edelweiss Slough, meeting Chester Jr. and Leo at the Buffalo Ranch, nature walks along the Rotary Trail, getting up close to Boo the Bear, big group games with the museum camp, disc golf at Infinity’s Sport Ranch, hearing the wolves howl at Northern Lights Wolf Centre, and of course, just spending all day outside with other nature-loving ki
There is something so special seeing Golden through the eyes of a child. Their excitement for catching moths, grasshoppers, and minnows is infectious! Nothing is more uplifting than to hear the laughter of kids as they chase each other down in a game of Revenge Tag. To all of the kids and parents who joined Wildsight at Get Wild! 2021, all the Wildsight team wants to extend a huge thank you to Golden for the support of our camp. Camp will be back in 2022 for the 8th year!
