Three years ago, B.C. released their Old Growth Strategic Review — and promised to implement its fourteen recommendations. Today, more than half of the old growth identified for protection is still in danger of being clearcut. More than a square kilometre of old growth forest is cut down every day in B.C. Not a single one of those fourteen recommendations has been fully implemented. Let’s take action. Meet with fellow lovers of old growth at Spirit Square on September 28 at 4 pm.
Alana Jung, a local artist has created a paint by number which our community can colour in and write messages on. Once this art piece is complete, we will send it, along with personal letters and postcards to Premier Eby.
There will be paints & brushes, pens, postcards and paper at the venue. Feel free to create your own signs, art pieces and letters at home to be included.
