Have you ever wondered where Invermere’s drinking water comes from, how it’s sanitized, where the unique taste comes from, or what happens after we’re done with it? Come for a two hour tour of the District of Invermere’s water utilities with environmental educator Jessie Caza and meet the hardworking water utilities team! You will learn the answers to these questions and more, plus have the chance to ask any questions you may have about our drinking water, the sewage system, or the impacts of climate change on this system.

Participants will meet at a central location and carpool to the various tour stops which will include the Paddy Ryan Lakes Reservoir, treatment plants, and sewage station. Tours will mostly be outside, so participants are asked to dress for the weather, bring a hat and water bottle, and wear closed-toed shoes.

For any questions, please email lianna@wildsight.ca

Max Participants: 19
