Fall is here, and now is a great time to start a home compost system.  Composting at home can reduce your household garbage by half, and turn organic waste into compost gold; let’s face it, it’s not just the kids that love digging in soil!  Not sure where to start?  Join us at our Compost Workshop to learn the basics: how to set up a bin, work and maintain the pile, and how to use your compost soil.  Pick up some troubleshooting tips, and chat about the misconceptions of bioplastics.  Bring your smile, a set of working hands, and dig in!

Where: Cranbrook Public Produce Garden at 710 18 Ave N, Cranbrook, BC

When: Thurs October 18th

Cost: $12 Wildsight Members; $15 non-members; REGISTER HERE UNTIL 11am on Thurs Oct 18th

Workshop presenter Nadine Rake is an Environmental Educator that has years of experience with compost as well as waste reduction techniques you can follow on the Zero Waste Journey. She has been involved with the development of school and public composting programs and is well versed in proper ways to unlock your composting potential.
