Led by the fun and knowledgeable weed-busting folk from East Kootenay Invasive Species Council, we’ll head out on Sinclair Creek trail in Radium, hunting for invasive species to pull up and bag out.
Gloves, bags and all weed-identification training and guidance will be provided. It’s a chance to enjoy this beautiful area and give back at the same time. Removing invasive species helps prevent them from taking over ecosystems and crowding out native species, some that are forage for wildlife like the ubiquitous local bighorn sheep herd.
Meet at the start of the Sinclair Creek Trail in Rotary Park, Radium at 10am. We’ll be pulling weeds along the trail until 1pm, stay as long as you are able.
Online registration closes the day before the event but you can still show up without a registration.
