Did you enjoy hiking pre-kids and now wish to continue with kids, but aren’t sure where or how to start?

We’re running another ‘intro to hiking with kids’ hike this summer, for families with kids around 3 to 11 years old (older & younger are welcome too).

This one will be at the Columbia Wetlands Viewpoint trail, which starts on Westside Rd south of Invermere. The hike has some rolling sections but is mainly flat & easy terrain. It offers views of the Rockies, including the Fairmont mountain range & the south end of the wetlands.

While this is not a ‘guided hike’ (i.e. you are responsible for your own and your children’s safety and preparedness), you can expect to get plenty of tips and advice for hiking with kids from Wildsight educator Jessie Caza and maybe a game or two as well!
