This free presentation is part of a skill share series with community experts held at the Creston Library. Jim Smith is a retired forester with a degree in Forestry from the University of Minnesota. Jim has a 40 year career with experience in government, industry and has been self employment as a consultant in BC. ‘Gentle forest stewardship’ is the guiding principle he tries to practice. Over the years he was privileged to be involved in managing watersheds with the primary value being water. Selection logging to meet landscape objectives was his specialty.
