Join Wildsight for a 5km fun run near Revelstoke, visit some big trees, and learn all about these rare stands of old growth Inland Temperate Rainforest!
During the run, conservation specialist Eddie Petryshen will be sharing his in-depth knowledge of this rare ecosystem and the fascinating ecology of these old-growth forests. We welcome runners of all abilities!
What you need to know:
- Please register to reserve your spot; participation will be capped at 40 runners.
- While the run will primarily be on gravel roads, be prepared for some uneven surfaces and dress appropriately.
- We will be providing some light refreshments for after the run, but please bring a water bottle.
- The meeting spot is on Downie Creek FSR off Highway 23N, about 45 minutes north of Revelstoke. (51.498380, -118.376513)
- The turn off from Highway 23N will be clearly marked.
- If you are coming with a friend, we recommend carpooling.
