Also known locally as “The Forks”, proposed potential logging plans by BC Timber Sales and Canfor in the White, Dewar and West Fork drainages could have significant impacts on the wildlife, biodiversity and ecosystem values of this critical part of the Purcell Mountains and add to the already devastating private land clearcuts that have taken place in the past 5-10 years.
