If you’ve ever been curious about Field To Fork but haven’t yet experienced this enchanting evening, keep reading. This year marked our most successful event to date, featuring a sold-out crowd, and an array of uniquely crafted culinary delights.

What Is Field To Fork? A Farm-to-Table Harvest Celebration

Field To Fork is an intimate celebration of the harvest, local foods, and community. We come together in the fall when our farmers are reaping the rewards of their hard work. It’s an opportunity to explore how rich and bountiful our local agriculture is. All of the fare chosen for this event has been grown, raised, baked, brewed, and vinified within a 100 kilometre radius. Hosted by Biscuit: A Place To Sup, Field To Fork is also a Wildsight Kimberley Cranbrook branch fundraiser.

A Community Success Story

Field To Fork launched in 2022, bringing a new and exciting event to Kimberley, BC. While the concept isn’t unique, it had yet to be realized in our city. With creativity, collaboration and culinary expertise from the Biscuit team, the event quickly became a local favourite. Supported by dedicated sponsors and farmers, Field To Fork has experienced significant growth, becoming a standout Kimberley, BC event in a short amount of time.

The Menu: A Harvest Delight

As one might expect, this harvest supper menu showcases rich, flavourful glazes and sauces, along with harmonious blends of sweet and savoury vegetables, meats, cheeses and pickles.

Feast upon the 2024 seven-course menu:

  • Niwas bread and whipped butter
  • Gwinner’s charcuterie and pickles
  • We Be Farmin’s curried spaghetti squash with apple capture chutney
  • Warm roast beet and kale salad featuring a vinaigrette and goat cheese chevre
  • Lyonnaise potatoes with caramelized onion and balsamic drizzle
  • Maple glazed carrots
  • Classic Canadian nanaimo bars

Each dish was artfully plated, captivating both to the eye and the palate. This year’s standout was the curried spaghetti squash with apple capture chutney. Though not typically known for its visual appeal, the Biscuit team once again impressed us with their creativity and culinary expertise. The perfect pairing of a mild curry and sweet local apples made this dish an instant favourite.

A Special Thank You To The Sponsors

Kimberley Farmers Market vendors have played a key role in curating the Field To Fork menu, with 37% of donors being current or past vendors. Approximately 20 local sponsors join forces to supply the venue, cuisine, beverages, floral arrangements and a door prize basket. This event would not be possible without this ongoing support.

It is often said that an event is only as good as its venue, and we wholeheartedly agree. Ryan and his team at Biscuit: A Place to Sup, deserve special recognition for their significant contribution to introducing this event to our community. Their welcoming space has provided the perfect setting to celebrate the harvest over the past three years.

In conclusion we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who purchased tickets and contributed to the success of this event. We are already looking forward to Field To Fork 2025 and hope that you will  join us again. Remember to watch for tickets in mid August!
