Join outdoor educator and wildlife biologist Dave Quinn at Lake Enid for a fun exploration of what’s happening in our surrounding forests. We’ll get down, close to ground, and examine how native plants have adapted to local conditions. We’ll look at the natural role of wildfires in our dry, open forests and grasslands, and how we’re working hard to restore ecosystems under stress from a century of mismanagement and the increasing effects of climate change on seasonal weather patterns.
This event is FREE. Participants need: appropriate outdoor clothes, sun protection, good walking footwear, snacks and water. Optional: binoculars, camera
