This fall, we’re excited to be bringing back-to-back screenings of Trouble in the Headwaters to Fernie, Golden and Kimberley from November 22-24. Join us as we combine storytelling with science and conversation to explore the complex connection between clearcut logging and the increasing frequency of floods, landslides and droughts across our province.
Trouble in the Headwaters is a 25-minute documentary by Daniel J. Pierce about the disastrous 2018 flood event in Grand Forks, BC, featuring UBC Professor Dr. Younes Alila.
Daniel and Younes will both be present to introduce the film, and answer questions afterwards as part of a panel discussion with local experts and Wildsight’s forestry team. You’ll leave with a better understanding of what’s happening in your local watershed, and insights into ways we can all help.
Admission by donation; please register for the individual screenings below to reserve your seat, as space is limited.
