In June, 165 people in six communities joined us to explore ancient old growth stands in their own back yards. They were inspired by what they saw — but devastated to learn that one square kilometer of rare forests like these are cut down every single day in BC.
It’s been three years since the release of the Old Growth Strategic Review that the BC government committed to implementing. The report outlined a three year timeline to usher in transformative change to our forest industry and to protect our forest ecosystems. But our forests are still being degraded; our irreplaceable old and ancient forests continue to get loaded onto logging trucks.
Tell Premier Eby that he must act now to stop old growth logging and implement the recommendations of the review. Stand with old growth today.
