Wildsight Golden has been hosting the GET WILD! summer environmental education camp for the children and youth of Golden and area for nine years now. Participants learn about local ecosystems through play and exploration. The camp runs weekly.
This children’s camp with participants from 6 to 10 years of age will run in July and August.
Activities include nature discovery and adventure games, local hikes, bird-watching, community gardening, take home art from nature, sports, community volunteering, music and drama, survival skills, and much more outdoor fun!
The children’s camp will include a field trip each Thursday where we go on a full day field trip to a local attraction such as rafting with Glacier Rafting, visiting the new Skybridge, playing disk golf at the Organic Sports Ranch, hiking at Wapta Falls, and others.
Children camp dates for the 2023 summer run every week starting July 3 and ending on August 18. The cost for one week is $215.00 Last year, every week was full, but if camp is not full, we may be able to offer a drop-in day rate.
This program is for those parents who want their children to be outside and come home dirty, happy, tired and excited.
