This is a pivotal time for the future of not only our province, but our planet. We need strong leadership prepared to take on the challenges of diminishing wildlife numbers, increasing pressures on the landscape, and the need to preserve what little wilderness remains.
To help constituents make an informed decision in BC’s 2020 provincial election, we’ve asked your candidates a series of questions related to wilderness values. With topics ranging from climate to mining to forestry and more, voters can get a clearer understanding of the issues, and attitudes towards them, in our region.
We quizzed candidates in four electoral ridings:
- Columbia River-Revelstoke (Kimberley, Invermere, Golden, Revelstoke)
- Kootenay East (Cranbrook & the Elk Valley)
- Kootenay West (Castlegar, Rossland, Trail, the Slocan and Arrow Lakes),
- Nelson-Creston (and Kootenay Lake)
