Gemma joined the Wildsight Golden team in 2017 as the Invasive Plant Program Coordinator and Branch Manager in 2018. She has now gone back to university as a graduate student researcher undertaking a PhD focusing on the intersection of conservation, climate change and community values at Griffith University. Her research, which is based in the Golden area, focuses on understanding how different types of science and knowledge can enable or limit various conservation initiatives and aims to understand our relationship with the natural world as we plan for the future. She enjoys spending time outside and assisting ecologists with fieldwork as an excuse to get outside and away from my computer screen.
