Ashley grew up in Fernie surrounded by the natural wonder of the Elk Valley. She now pursues her passion for environmental sustainability through local food production. She considered herself a life-long student of permaculture and has a background in agricultural research, community composting, organic gardening, and micro-scale poultry production.
