Calling all nature and turtle enthusiasts! Come celebrate World Turtle Day in Revelstoke on Saturday May 23rd, with a turtle talk and community BioBlitz at Williamson Lake.
Starting at 2pm, there will be a short talk on our resident Western Painted Turtles and local conservation efforts. Everyone is then welcome to participate in our community BioBlitz around the Lake, where we take photos of the different plant and animal species and upload them to the iNaturalist app. No experience is required and volunteers will be on site to help, we just ask that you download iNaturalist on your phone in advance and sign our online waiver.
Please come prepared for time outdoors, this event will be taking place rain or shine!
