Join us for an evening of inspiring films, community connection, and a celebration of the people and places working to protect our planet.
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is an internationally recognized event that showcases inspiring environmental and adventure films from around the world. Beyond entertainment, it serves as a powerful tool to spark dialogue, raise awareness, and engage communities in protecting the natural world.
Doors open at 6pm – arrive early to explore our silent auction featuring some incredible local items and experiences. A stay at Purcell Mountain Lodge including helicopter transportation could be yours! It’s also a great time to purchase your Dawn Mountain Nordic ski season passes!
Film program begins at 7pm. We’ll journey across the globe—from the peaks of Patagonia to the heart of the Congo, with stops in the Cascades and California—through a curated selection of powerful short films. After a short intermission, we’ll feature the documentary The Spirit Who Swims, an unforgettable film that follows the journey of the swaq̓mu (salmon) along the Fraser River, highlighting the deep cultural and ecological ties shared by First Nations communities.

Many thanks to all our sponsors for their generous support of this community event:
