Do your fruit trees need some care, but you don’t know where to start?
Learn to prune your tree for increased yield, ease of harvest, and better health at Wildsight Kimberley Cranbrook’s upcoming Fruit Tree Pruning Clinics in Kimberley and Cranbrook, part of the Apple Capture Project.
Dave Couse, a Kimberley local and ex-Ornamental and Edible Arborist, will demonstrate the basics of pruning in this two-hour workshop. Participants can expect to learn the basics of tree anatomy, the ground rules for stress-free pruning during dormancy, techniques for taming unruly mature trees, and ongoing pruning for tree maintenance.
After some instruction, there will be an opportunity to try pruning yourself, so bring some tools if you have them!
