We’re getting excited for the Creston Nectar Network Pollinator Picnic! Join us on Sunday, July 19 from 9:30 AM–1:30 PM at Millennium Park for a fun-filled morning celebrating pollinators, native plants, and community action!
This event is free, family-friendly, and open to everyone!
We’ll have:
A presentation and Q&A with Dr. Bren Beckwith
A community art project with Jess Stacey of Herbarium Studio & Gardens
Face painting, Kids activities and a scavenger hunt!
Our friends Tilia Botanicals with a “one for me, one for the bee!” theme
Live music
Delicious food vendors
Information booths and opportunities to learn about pollinator conservation including Nupqu Nursery and Dee Howard from Pure Honey.
With the warm weather we’ve been experiencing, we encourage everyone to come prepared for the heat. Please consider bringing:
A sun hat, Sunscreen, A reusable water bottle, A lawn chair or picnic blanket if you’d like an alternative place to sit during the presentations and activities
We’re also looking for a few volunteers to help make the day a success. If you’re interested in helping with the Kids’ Zone or other activities, we’d love to hear from you. Send Rebecca a message for more information or to sign up as a volunteer.
We can’t wait to celebrate pollinators, community, and the amazing work happening across the Creston Valley to create connected habitat for bees, butterflies, and other important pollinators. See you there!
