Our petition supporting the Ktunaxa Qat’muk declaration and calling for permanent protection for Jumbo has nearly 58,000 signatures from around the world – and counting.
Now, we’ve been honoured with an invitation to present the petition to the Ktunaxa tri-nation leadership (including the Ktunaxa Nation and the US tribes) before we deliver it to BC Premier Christy Clark. With the Ktunaxa case pending at the Supreme Court of Canada and the BC election coming up, now is the time to stand together – and we’ve never been prouder.
Will you stand with us in Cranbrook in support of the Ktunaxa, in support of reconciliation and respect for sacred places, and in support of protection for Jumbo? Join us to show the Ktunaxa – and the world – that the people of the Kootenays will continue to fight to protect Qat’muk, as we have for 26 years.
Please join us on Monday, March 13th at 12:30pm in the Ktunaxa Nation offices in downtown Cranbrook (220 Cranbrook Street N). The ceremony will only be about 20 minutes long.
And, if you haven’t already, add your name to the petition and share it with friends and family.
