Do you have a passion for protecting natural ecosystems within the community?
If so, come join us on Sunday, June 24th, from 9am-12pm, for Wildsight Golden’s 11th Community Weed Pull, an event where you can make a difference while still enjoying quality time outdoors! Plus, free lunch for all volunteers!
For this event, priority invasive plants that negatively impact our community’s native landscapes will be mechanically removed along the Kicking Horse River. Information regarding invasive plant identification and removal techniques will also be given. The meeting location (at 9am) is at the east end of the Pedestrian Bridge, near Spirit Square. All materials and tools needed for the weed pull will be provided, as well as a complementary lunch on us!
If you are interested in participating, or for more information, please contact Wildsight Golden’s Invasive Plant Coordinator Jaylene Harper at or come visit Jaylene at Golden’s Farmers Market on Wednesday, June 20th. Happy Weeding!
