Growing food is an adventure, it’s an exploration deep into the ground and a continuous relationship with nature that proves it’s importance. Wildsight Invermere are excited to partner with the family of Winderberry and Edible Acres, for this journey behind-the-scenes of their greenhouse operation and certified organic farm.
What’s included:
– Our hosts will talk us through the steps of their operation from seed germination, rooting out and transplanting to greenhouse and field production of the flowers and vegetables.
– You’ll have a chance to get your hands in their soil and plant something to take home.
– They’ll share with us their integrated farm systems, from the living compost pile to the annualized geo-solar veggie greenhouse.
– They’ll introduce their popular Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm-to-table food box program.
– The adventure will include a delicious muffin and coffee at Edible Acres Cafe.
