Get Wild! Environmental Education Coordinator

Golden Branch

Originally from Montreal, Laurie has called the Columbia Valley home for the past five years. The amazing landscapes and vibrant nature here stole her heart and deepened her passion for conservation. Rain or shine, you’ll find Laurie hiking, running, slacklining, paddleboarding, or simply soaking in the beauty around her. She’s also an avid reader and learner, constantly seeking to understand the natural world.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a certificate in Eco-Education through Nature, Laurie brings a strong foundation to her work. Previously, she co-created an art and nature summer day camp in Quebec, where she saw firsthand how curiosity and creativity can ignite a lifelong love for the outdoors. For the past few years, she’s worked as a youth care worker, specializing in nurturing social and emotional growth in children across diverse settings. Laurie’s mission is to inspire children to love and safeguard nature, today and for generations to come.
