Event Details

Date: Saturday, March 7, 2025
Time: 10 am – 2 pm
Location: Lindsay Park Elementary School (602 Salmo St., Kimberley)
Cost: This is a free drop in event
Things to know: Feel free to bring your seeds for the exchange!

What can you expect?

This event is an early afternoon get-together hosted by the Lindsay Park Elementary School Garden Club in partnership with the Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy, Kimberley Edible Gardens and Greenhouse group and our very own Ashley Lortscher, Food Program Coordinator for the Kimberley Community Garden and our Backyard Farmers Project. There will be activities for kids (games and crafts), get-to-know-the-seed library information, and a seed starting workshop.

What is the Kimberley Seed Library?

A seed library is exactly what it sounds like! It is a library of locally curated seeds for gardeners to exchange and learn from. It is a way to preserve genetic diversity and learn what grows best in our high-altitude community. We ask that you please bring your seeds to share with the seed library and each other!
