Kirsty Symmons

Kirsty is originally from Australia, but first landed in Canada in 2017 and moved to Invermere in 2021, promptly falling in love with the landscape and mountain community. She holds a BSc in Environmental Science and Sustainability and has years of community organising and environmental consultancy under her belt. Kirsty has spent the last decade travelling internationally, mostly living in mountain communities from the Austrian Alps, Japan, Australia and Canada. Wildsight channels her passion for environmental stewardship, community advocacy and championing our planet’s wild places. She is excited to be setting down roots in the Columbia Valley and you can find her snowboarding or tending to a garden in her spare time.
