Haley Macdonald

Originally from southern Alberta, Haley moved to Fernie in 2021 and now calls the Elk Valley home. She lives with her husband and young daughter and spends as much time as she can outside — biking, trail running, gardening, and skiing.

Haley joined the Wildsight board in 2025, bringing a background in conservation and environmental engineering, and a strong belief in the power of local action. She works with Ducks Unlimited Canada, partnering with industry and government to advance nature-based climate solutions. Haley is passionate about community-rooted conservation and innovative funding that supports lasting environmental outcomes.
