Alli

Columbia Valley Conservation Coordinator

Wildsight Regional

Born and raised in the East Kootenay, Alli has always felt a deep connection to the region’s landscapes and wildlife. Since 2014, she has called the Invermere area home, nestled along the Columbia Wetlands.

Alli holds a Diploma in Recreation, Fish and Wildlife from Selkirk College (2008), a Bachelor of Natural Resource Science from Thompson Rivers University (2011) and a Master of Science in Conservation Biology from the University of Alberta (2018). With over a decade of experience working in the Mountain National Parks and more than 15 years as a field biologist, her career has been anything but boring — tracking and collaring wolverine and grizzly bears, aquatic sampling in mountain streams and lakes, and collecting field data in some of the most remote wilderness areas of the Rocky Mountains and Southeast BC.

Passionate about conservation and community engagement, Alli is dedicated to fostering local support for sustainable land use and outdoor recreation practices. She believes in the power of connection between people, landscapes, and the species that call them home.

In her free time, Alli enjoys gardening and exploring the Columbia Valley’s wilderness with her family, hoping to instill in her children a deep appreciation for the wonders of this beautiful valley.
