What is the “Late Bus”?
Wildsight Invermere has heard from the David Thompson Secondary School (DTSS) Climate Club that there is a need for transit that runs later in the evening to accommodate after-school activities, extracurriculars, and part-time jobs.
We’ve been working with the Climate Club to help make this happen. Through collaboration with Columbia Valley Economic Development and Valley Vibes, the “Late Bus” is scheduled to launch on September 22.
The Late Bus will connect Canal Flats, Fairmont, Windermere, Invermere, Radium, and Edgewater between 6:45 and 9:20 p.m. This new pilot transit project is available not only to students, but to everyone in the Columbia Valley — including locals, part-time residents, and visitors — providing additional opportunities to get around without a car.

Celebrate the Launch!
Join us on September 22 at 6:30 p.m. at David Thompson Secondary School to celebrate the launch of the Late Bus. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by the inaugural ride.
