Job Summary

The Summer Camp Coordinator will organize and run the 2024 Wild-In-Sight youth summer camps, which focus on exploring the natural environment and hands-on learning for children aged 5-10. With the support of the Branch Manager, the Coordinator will develop the curriculum, liaise with community partners, promote participant recruitment, and procure materials for four 5-day camps. 

The Summer Camp Coordinator is a full-time 7 week position based out of Revelstoke. 

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of the 2024 Wild-In-Sight youth summer camps, which will consist of four 5-day camps
  • Program planning, design and curriculum development with a focus on exploring the natural environment, hands-on learning, and team building
  • Program promotion and participant recruitment (with assistance from the Branch Manager)
  • Liaise with community partners (and volunteers where appropriate)
  • Procurement of materials
  • Final reporting after program completion

Job Requirements

  • Experience working with children
  • Outdoor education experience
  • Standard first aid or equivalent, with proof of current certification
  • Knowledge of the Revelstoke area
  • Administrative skills
  • Experience communicating with the public and community partners
