Kate Corrigan

Branch Board Secretary
Golden Branch
Kate grew up with a profound love of nature after summers camping in Jasper with her family and hunting with her dad every fall. For 16 years, Kate played ringette in the winter in her hometown of St.Albert, Alberta. Kate moved to Golden in 2021 after completing a 4-year Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Alberta, Augustana Campus in Environmental Studies and Outdoor Education. While at Augustana, Kate was the university’s Outdoors Club President, a climbing wall employee, as well as a cross-country ski coach for children of the Camrose community. During the summer months away from Augustana, Kate worked as a white-water raft guide in Jasper National Park and later as a Research Assistant where she studied the impacts of COVID-19 on Interpretive Programs in Alberta’s Provincial Parks. Her love for parks, wilderness, wildlife, and outdoor recreation are what makes her so excited to be a part of the Wildsight Golden team! She hopes to pursue a career in environmental education. In her spare time she can be found hiking, climbing, canoeing, or backcountry skiing.
