Open Gate Garden Work Bee – Lasagna Gardening

Thursday, June 14, 2018
Kimberley & Cranbrook Branch
Location:
Kimberley Open Gate Garden on Rotary Drive

The Open Gate Garden was once a rough open lot that had very low quality soil. Over the years Wildsight has worked hard to build the nutrients and liveliness; all started with Lasagna Gardening. Come out to the Open Gate Garden on Thursday June 14th from 4:30-6:30pm to help build the soil even further and learn how Lasagna Gardening would work in your own garden.

Sheet mulching (also called Lasagna Gardening) is a wonderful, low-cost way to start a thriving garden where there wasn’t one before, or to reclaim a space that has been taken over by grasses or weeds. It takes more time, but requires much less physical labour and money than other techniques.
