Looking for an opportunity to get your family outside this Christmas Holiday? Join Wildsight and the Rocky Mountain Naturalists (the “Nats”), as well as tens of thousands of other bird enthusiasts worldwide, for the National Audubon Society’s Christmas Bird Counts taking place in Kimberley and Cranbrook.

Novice or experienced, the Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is for everyone! New birders are asked to consider participating in an “early bird” orientation session in their area in early-mid December, prior to the counts after Christmas. No matter what degree of expertise you have, all data collected during local CBCs will help the society study the health of winter bird populations over time and to guide conservation strategies.
