Come out and take a swim around the pond with our buck-toothed national critter, Castor canadensis, on the International Day for Biological Diversity. Annette Luttermann PhD will explore some fascinating facts about the rodent that has shaped our landscape over millennia and contributed more than its furry share to enhancing ecosystems in the northern hemisphere. We will also share observations from preliminary research on the beavers in our backyard – the west bench of the Columbia Valley near Golden. This event is on May 22 at 7 PM at Lady Grey Elementary School Library.
