Celebrate Wild Bears and Learn How to Coexist Safely

With Wildsight Invermere, WildSafe BC, BC Conservation, Groundswell Network, Invermere Public Library and the District of Invermere

There’s no denying that bears are a part of life here in the Columbia Valley!

Join us for our annual, family-friendly bear awareness day with fun activities, crafts, workshops and displays. You’ll have the chance to chat with local wildlife experts, make apple juice with Groundswell to keep fruit attractants in town to a minimum, and learn how to keep bears wild and stay safe in bear country with hands-on bear spray lessons.

Bring your expired bear spray canisters and we’ll make sure they get properly recycled!

Celebrate the remarkable animals that roam our local landscape at this free event for all ages!
