Are you a college student looking for a part-time job during the school year? Wildsight is looking for a Communications Intern to work with us during the school year in the Kimberley/Cranbrook area.

You’ll be working with our Communications and Engagement Lead, and the rest of the Wildsight team in Kimberley and throughout the Kootenays, to help spread Wildsight’s message and fundraise to support our work. While your work will require you to work in our Kimberley office sometimes, there will be opportunities to work from home if you prefer for most of your work. We have a fair bit of schedule flexibility (we understand that sometimes studying for your exams is more important than your job).

You should:

  • Be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program for 2022/23
  • Be self-motivated, independent, and able to work on multiple projects
  • Pay attention to detail
  • Have a passion for the wild

Ideally, you:

  • Have a knowledge of environmental issues in British Columbia and in the Kootenays
  • Have good language skills including editing, proofreading and writing
  • Have social media experience

Hours: an average of about 10 hours per week for the school year (September to April), depending on your availability

Wage: $17-19/hour

Job Location: Kimberley or Cranbrook, BC

Please send your resume and a writing sample of any kind to We will conduct rolling interviews until the position is filled.
